100 years ago today Robert F. Scott and his men arrived at the South Pole only to find a Norweigan flag already planted. They were beaten to the Pole by Roald Admundsen and his men by 34 days. You can see it in their faces, they are heartbroken and exhausted. All five men would die on the return journey. There will be a ceremony tonight to honour them.
